only if it sparks joy

I am a PhD student in Cancer Biology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NYC). I graduated in 2017 with a Biochemistry major and English minor from Mount Holyoke College, where I also completed the Dietetics track at UMass Amherst.
I was first drawn into science writing after crafting an analogy of racism and Optics from Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye." The pursuit of science and writing has disciplined me to become more inquisitive, perceptive, and communicable. The White Space is a platform to integrate the practice of science into all aspects of my daily life.
In my research, I have carried a strong interest in cancer immunology. I've previously worked at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, K National Cancer Hospital, and Vietnam’s Institute of Biotechnology. When not on my bench, I dedicate my time to travel, cook, and write, such flavors you might have already seen in TWS. Thank you for reading and stopping by!
